The stars are casting their gentle glow on Irfan's career. After singing the haunting "Behne De" in Raavan, he now features in the credits of "Lamhaa", the much-awaited Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Kapoor movie that's slated to release this year.
Irfan sings two songs in this film: "Salaam Zindagi" that is a sort of anthem and the theme song of the film. It's a soulful number that begins with the laughter of children and speaks of the need for peace and the protection of innocent lives in Kashmir.
He then goes on to sing a power-packed "Rehmat Zara" along with music director Mithoon himself. It's a Sufi style energetic lyric and is one of the best songs of the album.
Here's hoping our Irfan gets a Filmfare nomination on this song. Inshallah.
